1. What should I do if the engine fault light is on?

First observe whether the vehicle is accompanied by power loss, abnormal noise or shaking. If only the light is on without abnormality, it may be a false alarm of the sensor; if it is accompanied by abnormality, you need to use the OBD tester to read the fault code (such as P0300 misfire code, P0171 fuel correction fault) and send it for repair in time.

2. What may be the problem with the abnormal engine noise?

Knocking sound (metal knocking): It may be detonation, and you need to check the fuel grade or ignition timing;

Belt abnormal noise: belt aging or tensioner failure, need to be replaced;

Water pump abnormal noise: coolant leakage or bearing wear, need to be repaired immediately to avoid high temperature.

3. How to deal with the emergency of the engine water temperature being too high?

Pull over immediately, turn off the engine and open the engine compartment for heat dissipation. It is strictly forbidden to open the radiator cap immediately (to prevent scalding). Check whether the coolant is missing. If it is missing, add pure water for emergency, and then send it for repair to check the water pump, thermostat or fan clutch.
